Abstract
In this experiment the authors. observed that a considerable disruption and degranulation of mesenteric mast" cells occurred at the injected mesenteric site in the albino rat after mjectioz of 0.025 mg of reserpine in 0.01, cc of solution.
It is. therefore concluded, that degranulation and disruption of tissue mast cells vyas due to eserpme, a known serotonin liberator. The authors discussed. correlations between the secreting activity of tissue mast cells (degranulation and disruption), irr which serotonin is present, and the serotonin release from tissue mast cells.
